Carnage is the alter ego of Cletus Kasady, a serial killer who becomes a host to an alien symbiote Like Spider-Man's symbiote, Venom, the Carnage symbiote bonds with its host and gives them enhanced strength, agility, and other abilities However, unlike Venom, the Carnage symbiote amplifies the host's already-existing violent tendencies, making Kasady an even more dangerous and unpredictable adversary
